Bobin Mohanty ----SERIOUS THREATEN : Supervising engineers of electrical & mechanical departments are going to face a serious threaten in future. As per Rly Bd’s 53/2011, Loco Pilots of GP-4200 have been equated with GP-4600 of SSEs for 70% Gr-B selection (letter attached here). Earlier similar rule was there, but scale 5500-9000/- was equal to 6500-10500/- of SE. after 6th CPC, 5000-8000/- & 5500-9000/- were merged for which the no. of LP has been increased drastically. This problem isnow being faced by supervising ers of elect. Deptt. of E. Co.Rly. A senority list of 103 candidates has been published for 70% Gr-B selection. In that list only 2 candidates are SSEs & remaining 101 candidates are LPs !!!! Can You imagine ! This is not the single problem. In near future, 15% upgradation to Gr-B is likely to be held & not a single SSE will be eligible. After some years there will be no AEE or AME from SSE, all will be from LPs only & the supervising ers will work under them. A memo form ECoREA has been given to its GM.

Jeetendra Panda --It's really a pathetic situation for we engineers, if this tradition will go in future no one will show interest to join in Indian Railway.for this unrealistic situation I personally request all Electrical Engineers come forward and shake hand with EcoREA and find path for future.

Nena Singha --It is realy serious theat. Times has come to unite all spervisor Engr of Indian Railway.As we are the back bone of IR.If we are united we can address all our issues.

I want to know

What is the essential educational qualification requirement for Loco Pilot during entry post i.e. Asst. Loco Pilot.

Any body will tell me

Minimum Qualification is ITI fo ALP at entry grade.

When we are Engineers (JEs & SSEs) i. e. why our respected friends using the ward supervisors ? Can supervisors not abolished like chargeman, foreman, shopseritendet ec. ?

This is the uotcome of our  sitting  silent and idle...
If the Awakening among Egineers is delayed then those days are not far off when Engineering category will be treated as community of Khallasis.

It is understood that an harsh step is difficult, hence we have chosen the political intervention, despite good efforts from numbers of MPs, the matter yet has not been materialized. It may be for the reason, that we have no impact on voters. I would like to suggest that leftist may be approached, those are of very constructive approach to the working class rather than the vote bank.
